Trails for Everyone: Annual Meeting
Trails for Everyone: MTGA Annual Meeting
10:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 9, 2016
Turner-Dodge House & Heritage Center, Old Town Lansing:::You are invited to an exciting and informative event: MTGA’s 2016 annual Meeting, “Trails for Everyone,” will give you hands-on opportunities, thought provoking discussions and a great lunch. We will gather at the Turner Dodge House and Heritage Center right on Lansing’s River Trail.
The day will include an expo of alternative bikes that can enhance trail access for a host of users. These include recumbents, trikes, quad bikes, handcycles, electric assist e-Bikes and many others. You will be able to try out these bikes on the trail and chat with manufacturers and dealers.
At 1:00 p.m., lunch will be served and we will begin a thought-provoking discussion with a panel of experts about the role of electric assist eBikes on streets and trails. New legislation is being considered on the e-Bike front. What could this mean for commuters, trail users and the future of our trails? Of course we will also take care of MTGA business, including board election results and a look at programmatic highlights from the past year.
