Michigan Trails & Greenways Alliance is excited to share a new crowdsourced E-Bike Toolkit, designed to help communities across Michigan navigate the evolving role of e-bikes on trails.

Developed through three collaborative workshops hosted by MTGA and facilitated by Parallel Solutions, the toolkit captures the collective feedback, challenges, and ideas of trail stakeholders statewide. It offers practical guidance and resources in key areas, including safety, etiquette, education, equity, infrastructure, and enforcement.

The toolkit will continue to adapt as new issues and solutions emerge. Rather than focusing solely on e-bikes, it encourages communities to reframe the conversation toward ensuring safety, managing speed and behavior, and designing trails that support compatibility among all users.
